How good is Pushing Daisies?

Nowt on TV apart from Wendyball.

So on went PD.
Snappy dialogue, bling colours, Anna Friel

What's not to like.

Absolutely wonderful weirdness! I loved PD, was very sad when it ended. Anna Friel wore some fabulous frocks, too.
Wonderfalls was excellent, too, by the same director, as was Dead Like Me.

Dead Like Me.

Again. Axed after 2 seasons 😡

...while bloody CSI:*insert city here* will run to 10+ seasons.

Must be something about culling genuinely funny/inventive shows by the big studios after 2 seasons, as Better Off Ted got nuked after 2 as well.

Gah!

Or perhaps they just let the writers decide when their creativity has run it's course, rather than the studio flog it til it's rubbish and the last few people viewing out of habit have given up.

In some instances, yes, but in others, like the ones listed above. They were canned due to ratings.

Nope, it's down to the Neilsen Ratings, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings
