Looks like it might be cloudy tonight, but still might be a chance to see it.

I'm hopeful enough to be walking up a mountain with fadda Jr tonight, for bestest views.

Sky forecast to be clear in S Wales...

7.40pm in Melbourne, down under, dark since 6 and weather radar shows the rain that just came through should be it for today so hopeful it will clear before moonrise around 10.15

limited light glare - much much less in the way of street lights than the UK - great to live in a city and be able to see the stars

edit unless you have to be on bastard gmt nightime

Moon is fairly full and bright tonight so that's should scupper things a bit if you get a cloudless sky.

Raining all evening 🙁

Obviously the NK hacked the weather radar

Sky is clearing nicely in the south west. Just trying to decide if I can be bothered to hike up a Tor in the dark or shoot a time lapse in the back garden.

Clear in Hampshire at the moment. Tripod is already out in the garden while camera battery is on charge.

Saw a massive one as I walked out the back door about half nine and very few since.

Just downloaded the Sony timelapse app onto my rx100 so giving that a go. Set it off at 10, should be done by 12.

Between the cloud and light pollution, I am sacking it off for the night.

On the plus point, have a record number of frogs in the garden.

It was completely clear earlier on but there's about 50% cloud cover now (Skipton area). Popped outside and saw a strong trace within a couple of minutes.

Somerset..clear skies, a couple of good ones with long tails, but more a dripping tap than a shower

Just seen a couple of dozen in a 30 minute walk in northern Powys. Big moon too.

Just ridden up to the top of Macc forest and seen about half a dozen. Seemed like an obvious thing to do at about ten to midnight, but I saw how clear the skies were, grabbed a beanie and some biscuits and headed out on the Tripster. It was amazing - not seen meteors / shooting stars for years. Bit chilly on the way back down but a very special way to spend a couple of hours that I'd otherwise have wasted fast asleep... 🙂

We saw some from our back yard between 10:15 and 11. Then an owl flew overhead and landed on our soil pipe, which was of even more interest to the wife.

Mid Powys here. Stuck my head out of the door around midnight just before wobbling up to bed (hic).

Saw two within two minutes and a satellite. Super clear skies.

Report from Basel at 2am wee-break - it stopped raining! There was a clear sky (ish), so went out the back and leaned against the wall, hidden from moon, and looked in general 'up' towards Pegasus and Cygnus. Even with moon and haze there was Milky Way visible round Cygnus.

3-4 wee ones round Delphinus and Sagitta, but 2 absolute corkers after that. One a big, fat, slow, white/reddish flare through Pegasus, then a warp speed, 15-20degrees of sky one that ripped right through Cygnus. Cool as.

Went back to bed, couldn't sleep as was getting excited about star party next weekend in Bernese alps, and the forecast has just got really good.

Uber-geek, signing out.

Saw a big glowing slowish one by accident about 10pm in Stourbridge, fairly low, travelling East to West as I looked NW

We took the deckchairs outside and spent a couple of hours tucked up under blankets, quaffing cider (me) and mulled wine (better half), and spotted loads!

It's become a family ritual on 12th August, weather-permitting. Skies were mostly clear here (west Cornwall), a little hazy now and then. Not as good as last year, but better than most!

At least you know you'll get another chance to see them next year!

Sadly quite boring here, bright evening without clouds but nothing to see.. so we woke at 0300 to head into the Downs, but thin low cloud spoiled any view except the bright light pollution from the Festival at Cheesefoot Head.

Didn't see anything, too much light pollution (South Coast) best ever view was 12 years ago out at sea off Lands End

Much the same as cloudnine ^^^^ only without his wife & facing North Wales 😉

Glad I layered up as it got quite cool (red wine ended up colder than I like), perfect clear sky and the moon was low enough to be blanked out by the house.

Looking towards the Clwyds I saw about 20 mostly to the left or right of me but at about 12:15am there was an almost perfect one with a huge trail, a very nice peaceful time and made me feel quite calm.
