Mojang released an update 27 Jan for Android that crashes on all devices as far as I can tell. Some online forums reporting high incidence.
The boys tablets don't usually update automatically as I only let the devices access Wifi when I want them to, so until useless daddy put Stoner Jr's tablet online 10mins ago MCPE worked fine.
Now it doesn't.
It also doesn't work on any auto updating devices.
Fortunately Stoner Jr Jr's tablet hasn't updated yet.
So don't update MCPE until Mojang have fixed the release. I'm sure it will be a quick fix, probably a compiler error given it crashes everything rather than being a device specific fault.

Since Microsoft bought Minecraft it all seems to have gone a bit quiet though. My daughter has pretty much stopped playing as she said there have been hardly any new stuff. Certainly not as often as when Mojang developed it.

lot more involving apparently, although I havent installed it on the boys yet, saving it for later this year when the 5th ed is released (up to 4 of 5 stories now out)
Any tips on seeing off the wither on minecraft? Spawned the thing (which took an absolute age to gather 3 wither skulls) and it's running amok - giving me a beating every time I take it on.
I do like a good update ****up. Never going to beat the Eve Online one that deleted your pc's boot.ini file because of a single line of bad code, though.
gary-larger - my 6 year old normally runs into our room at about 6am gabbing on about minecraft crafting, mobs, and obsidian...
