This is my local beach. On 31st Dec I went kayaking along it and stopped off to make brew and watch the seals watching me. It was paradise.

^^ Yeah, joking aside I've been following the reports on the Beeb. Whilst it's great that there are many volunteers willing to do their best to try and pick up the grot, a lot of the non degradable stuff is going to be there 'forever' effectively as microplastics. I wonder how much has already been consumed by wild life? A lot at a guess.
The gulls will get to them first.
