It's probably been said before, but i'll say it again.

When we are having a friendly conversation, say down the pub or at work, and an ambiguity arises, e.g someone can't remember the last Sean Connery Bond movie (not including Never Say Never Again), please do not halt the conversation to look it up on your smartphone. I would rather have a meandering discussion about it.

Going to have to agree with Poppa here. Never get it down the pub etc, old pub with thick walls so no internets 😉 , but my bro-in-law is a nightmare for this. As soon as the words "oh that's whatshisname, oh you know, he was in that thing...oh what is his name" are uttered you can hear his fingers tapping away on his iPhone, and what would have been a fun 30 minutes of realising we are all old and losing our memories is killed.

Also it eliminates the moment where at 4am you sit bolt upright and shout to no-one in particular "It was bloody Yul Brynner!".

Gah!
