Just got an email, assume it's not targeted and open to all.

You'd be the first person it's not worked for. Maybe it is targeted, just not in the way we think 8)

Plus it's on the site now:

Pretty sure the seller doesn't lose out. This is how I bought my RS Reverb a couple of years back, was from a private seller.

Be procrastinating over a 1ph to 3ph inverter for my lathe for a while, now ordered.
I have blamed the fact I couldn’t run a 3ph lathe at home, for all my 1/2 finished projects.
“Oh that, I need the lathe to finish it”
“Once the lathes fine that’s only a 5 min job”

I’ll need a new excuse book now.

I'm wrestling now with the idea of spending £40 on a pair of overshoes, or circa £85 on some proper winter boots now.

Hmmmm.

If it's like similar previous ebay discount promos the difference is made up by PayPal. It also caused confusion on your PP account as it looked like you've paid the full amount on your summary page.

Oops, Ive just bought a Gaggia classic for £180

You'll be stoned to death by all the post-Phillips-takeover brigade.

cool - I deliberately wrote past-tense as I was referring to issues with previous similar promos; pretty sure the PSA threads became filled with "but I've paid the full amount!" posts and it caught my other half out.

Better off going to the PlanetX site!

No, he isn't...

Yes, worked fine. Although I didn't actually go through with the purchase in the end. Still hemming and whoring 😉

Not getting another set of PX overshoes, I've got a pair of them and some BBB ones that are OK, but I was thinking of getting the gripgrab arctic x ones. It's that some scott heaters, or some shimano MW5s. Buying shoes would also mean additional cleats though.

Done it, bought a pair of MW5 boots and some cheapie cleats for the rest of the winter.

They will be with me by the wc 8th Jan, so will no doubt be bitter cold and wet until then and then spring will start.

😀
I thought I would buy a £2000 minelab metal detector for £1600. Added detector to cart then applied code.

Saw it only discounted £75 not £400 so did it again.
Still only discounted £75, then realised there was a maximum discount of £75, so emptied cart and saved my self the £1600 I was going to spend on something I did not need. Kerching....

Carbon corner splitters for the car, a pair of Kanadia 7's, nukeproof neutrons and an xg1150 cassette.
All stuff I [s]wanted[/s] needed but held off on buying in case they came along cheaper somewhere.
Et voilà!
I haven't had the email yet, might have been because I had the stuff sat in my basket?
Either way, thanks PayPal.

The bike I've had in my watch list, on a BIN, sold this morning. The 20% off would have converted me from a watcher to a bidder. 😥

Couldn't find anything else suitable.

I wonder if the winner knew about this offer?
