I posted re loss of Netflix a couple of days ago and none of the readily available remedies worked. Their helpline blamed Sony but all other apps are working just fine. I keep getting DNS errors suggesting something wrong with my router but it all seems fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

PS I've tried the turn it off turn it on again option!

I dont own a ps3 or have any clue about ps3 dns errors.
but fwiw BT dns went down the other day in my area and i changed it to the google dns 8.8.8.8 which fixed it immediately

you can do this either on your router or on your ethernet adapter tcpip settings.

Could be your ISP have you tried accessing it though your PC?

Have you tried changing any settings in the past to get US Netflix?

DNS is the bit of the internet that converts something like www.singletrack.com to numbers that the rest of the internet can understand.
Are you on BT?
Do you use the BT net filter thing?

If yes to both that may be the problem, the filter stopping the PS3 access some websites it doesn't thing are safe. Disable it and try again.

If not BT, maybe someother web filter thing you may be using?

(Also, I don't think you can change the BT DNS if you have the web filter on, and yes, the BT DNS does seem to less then 100% sometimes.)

Haven't changed anything to get US Netflix and yes I am on BT. Thing is I subscribed for months with no problems at all - then wallop, it fell over.
