Since the age of three and a bit Ms Markie Jr has loved church bells. She began by watching the ringers, at three and half started chiming the Sanctus bell, at 5 starting chiming the treble, at 6 began learning to ring, at 6 and a quarter had the 3 bell named after her and tonight, aged 7 and a half has just rung a bell properly by herself for the first time! It's ace! I'm so happy for her!

I don't think so, but the 6 has given her some airtime...

I know very little about bell ringing - but it is always special to see a child do something they have aspired to.

Well done Ms Markie Jr.

Used to be a campanologist in my teens. Got to the level of ringing quarter peals (45 mins of ringing) of various methods but packed it in when I went to uni.
