I get upset over most things really, I'll quite freely admit I'm a bit of a ninny. Normally I can put it to the back of my mind and get on with things. But the murder of 7 year old Kate Rough has really affected me.

I couldn't sleep last night, not a wink. All I could think about is this poor 7 year old girl being killed - Since found out she was murdered. Even now I'm close to tears whilst at my desk at work.
My sincere condolences to her friends and family. May you rest in peace.

Anyone with half a soul and especially those with children would react the same if the stopped for a moment and really internalised the story.
You're not being a ninny. I have a seven year old boy also; I gave him a longer hug than usual last night.
I teach 7 year olds. Truly shocking.
I think being murdered by another child makes it all the more upsetting.
I don't have any kids and it upsets me. This is a wonderful world we live in but there are some very dark corners people end up in through no fault of their own.
