Taxi drivers, bin men, politicians......all rate the same in my book.

But only one taxi driver was involved. How do all other people who drive a taxi then become culpable? You, sir, should be excepted from the right to vote.

I don't think a taxi drivers as a group are any more likely to run people over, than most other groups of drivers.

Suspend any opinions you may have about internal contradictions, correct use of language or accuracy in reporting facts before venturing there (and definitely avoid reading any reader comments) would be my advice.

IIRC you can be arrested on suspicion of murder without anyone dying (they can die upto a year and a day afterwards and/or you don't need a body?)

TINAS - I think it's more likely you can be arrested for suspicion of murder if the victim has died before a year's up (even if you've been found guilty of a lesser offence in the meantime) or if, without a body, the police have reasonable grounds to arrest you on suspicion of murder regardless. If they have a living body, but reasonable grounds to believe the attack was pre-meditated then it would-be normal to arrest for attempted murder.
