I made a little poster for the shop today with some pics and text and made the background green.
When printing the background doesn't print as a colour and just stays white.
If I save as a PDF, it prints green, but then I seem to have other issues with some lines going off course.
Any ideas on the problem with the Word doc?

Does the rest of the poster print in colour from word?
Could be printer settings?

File > Options > Display > Printing options, then tick the "Print background colours and images" box
