I've just heard a news clip from Japan where the reporter asked the chap she was interviewing, in all seriousness, "Presumably at a nuclear plant you want to avoid an explosion like that?".
Lol, I heard that too!
I expected the guy to reply, "Yes, unlike your everyday workplace where explosions are actively encouraged, nuclear power stations do tend to frown upon them!.
What a useless thick bint'
These massive news events do bring out the very worst kind of inane reportage, particularly on rolling news channels.
There was some incredible stuff on Sky News the other day...
'We're seeing footage of some buildings. They appear to be...well, as I'm sure you can see...they are damaged. I imagine the reconstruction will take some time etc etc'
FFS
the crazy physicist was awesome earlier :
' I asume they have evacuated the area '
' I have recently googled the situation '
he did appear to be a bit drunk and tipsy too.....
