There've been a few horror stories recently about posting batteries, with Royal Mail confiscating and destroying batteries.
I want to post a spare set of lights of mine, and a couple of batteries (each made of 4x18650 cells), to a mate. Any reason why I can't?

Unless theyre hooked up to the light youre SOL the way i understand it.
