I've been pondering for some time, whether to get one. The only to stations I really listen to, 6 Music/5 live taste much better on digital.

Is it worth getting a cheapo? Any recommendations?

Cheers.

D'you mean the little tiny Pocket DAB radios? If so, the Pure is about the best. DAB radios do gobble batteries, mind, and they're a bit more susceptible to breaking up if the signal's iffy, just 'cos the headphone cable is the antenna. Otherwise the Pure One Mi is perfectly portable, and has good reception, but the sound is a bit 'thin', just because its very small. Mine gets used every day at work, and because I work in several different places it gets carried around.

I just got one made by Bush from argos (the union jack design one, down to £20).
It's good, but some of the obscure stations have a low bit rate so don't sound as good as the BBC ones. Although, I live in a poor reception area so that may be a factor.

I've got a couple of little cheap ones that use the same chip as the Pure DAB bedside Ipod dock we have and they all work very well. They are windowsill type radios though (ie mains or battery with a big antenna and a mono speaker).

I was looking at this company for a DAB that can be controlled from an Andoid tablet in the car and noticed they have ipod addons or stand alone portable ones: http://www.lingodab.co.uk/buy_paypal.php

Aye, should have made it clearer, specifically pocketable size. I suspected a rechargeable was the way to go.

I have a ROBERTS Sports DAB 2 Personal Stereo Radio.

It is rechargeable and the battery last a fair while.

I ordered a Roberts Stream 205 yesterday, tracking info says it's out for delivery, so hopefully I'll see it today.
