I want to stream music from either a macbook or samsung tab, to decent speakers. should I use wifi or bluetooth and what bobbins do I need and recommend some sub £100 speakers. do i need an amp? I don't want cables even if they are directional with gold teeth. Thanks.

You could look at Sonos - we've just set up an S5 Zoneplayer in the kitchen/diner. You say £100 speakers, but do you mean £100 all-in, or a set of gubbins plus up to £100 on speakers?

Excellent product. Dead easy to use, pretty good sound (not as good as the Arcam/Dynaudio in the sitting room - but that's not surprising).

It will pull music from an iTunes library, network-attached storage, which is good, internet radio (good here as we have decent ADSL but rubbish FM/DAB reception) and also Spotify and the likes -which is awesome!

Squeezebox is a cheaper alternative, bit more of a faff but I love 'em.

I have one of these that I use in the car, its not bad given the environment (noisy old morris minor)
