No idea, I eat peanut butter and jam sandwiches and wash them down with a pint of milk.

Mol - I think you need to start taking your food with you to work.
Cuts out the chances of making bad choices when you're feeling hungry later in the day, adds a bit of extra control.

The wise one speaks truth (can't believe i've called TSY wise twice in the space of a few mins, he'll be getting a big head now!) Seriously, I bring in my lunch and snacks of veg/fruit/nuts etc. Otherwise when i get hungry there's only one option - vending machine. You don't need to do much prep - i do mine when i make my dinner the night before.

Yeah. You use it to think of clever things to say and point and laugh at chubbies 🙁

Which you then edit 😡

It takes a fellow [s]exercise addict/crazy person[/s] genius to recognise such talent.

I have a few options. The canteen at work is usually ok, there's also a stall at the supermarket that sells stuff like half roast chickens and this lovely lentil soup stuff that might be a local speciality - I'm sure it's on the diet tho as it's a bowl full of legumes basically.

I usually don't snack actually apart from a carb snack before the ride home but if I do I have nuts.

DD ..... he does it to everyone. made a point of sprinting away at the speed of light around swinley leaving me and torminalis in tears (sure we heard him mutter something along the lines of "i can't put up with going as slow as you two fat chubby chubsters.... FAT FAT FATTTYYYY!!!" as he rode off)

so we've created our own "no yetis fit club".

Molgrips... I eat cold lunch everyday. I either bring it to work with me or I cycle home to make it. Only takes 5 mins.

I could help you out with a bit of food advice if you like ?

How do you make 5 bean salad?

This has to be scripted.

It could be a Zen 5 bean salad where there are 5 beans but you can only see 4 at any one time?

I once ordered a 5 bean salad in a fancy restaurant.

Strangely there was more than 5 beans in it.

I counted 37.

I sent it back.

ok give me an hour or so and I'll e-mail you something over. might not be entirely iDave diet friendly but you should be able to adapt it to suit. It's really simple anyway and you could make it the night before and take it work with you.

For anyone wanting meal ideas i've just had a very nice dinner:

venison burger
asparagus
mushrooms
borlotti beans cooked with red onions (fried), chopped tomatoes (i assume these are ok) and pepper/oxo cube

Dear iDave,

If in six weeks time I had to ride an 81 mile road sportive with 2000m climbing, is it ok to start an iDiet?

What's your opinion on Quorn as a source of protein for those not all that keen on a lot of meat?

🙂
X
