I have noticed some sort of new pole going up along the streets near places like schools and other important buildings, although the placement may be coincidence.
They look like 20 to 30 ft high cotton buds, and at least a few of the ones I've seen are painted dark blue.
Does anyone on here know what I am talking about?

Telecoms streetworks site (as mentioned above). Sometimes the LPA likes them painted the same colour as existing street furniture which would account for the blue....
