Is it just me, or do other plusnet customers find it equally impossible to understand. All I want to do is renew my line rental saver and broadband, but for the life of me I can't work out if some of the charges are monthly or annually. Spent about 2hrs looking and non the wiser. All i get is engaged tone when ringing.

I want to stay with the, but at this rate I'm going to change to someone else because starting a new contract will be easier!

Rant over.

Hmm, I've just switched to them because they're at least £20pm cheaper than BT (even though they're BT). Got straight through when I called, and they've responded to queries and follow up calls immediately - can't fault them, so far.

So, er, no.

Been with them years, never had any problem contacting them beyond the hold times. (30mins+ at peak times).

I've just switched from them to EE, cos they're £20 a month cheaper, even thought they're both BT...

Plus I was getting a bit annoyed with the US IP addresses they seemed to keep using.

Bottom feeders going for the granny market, rediculas contention ratios and hidden caps. If you are anything other than a light user they don't want to know and will even ban you. Why you think they are so cheap.

Hmm, sounds like cobblers to me:

https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/about-traffic-prioritisation/

"Traffic Prioritisation is not applied to Unlimited, Unlimited Fibre or Unlimited Fibre Extra"

Were you downloading things you shouldn't have been?

I used them for about 8 years and couldn't fault them, really helpful on the phone too.

The line rental saver is, for me anyway, an upfront payment which pays for 12 months line rental up-front.  So it's an annual charge.

Broadband is paid monthly but at the moment I am getting this for free but I do pay for a few add-ons for my phone (caller id, etc).

Must have imagined my 20 odd years of cheap reliable technically competent service.

Haven't had a single US IP address either, annoyed, could have saved me some proxy hassle

What he said about line rental saver - you can buy it upfront and get a reduction, as you're effectively tied in for that period.

Apart from sometimes being on hold for an extended period, I've not had any problems.

Tend to prefer Live Chat now anyway for most contact with utility companies etc. It's more convenient, usually quicker, you can save the transcript and you get the same result.

As said, line saver is annual then broadband is monthly.

I flip each year between Plusnet and BT to get 'new customer' cashback and rewards, etc. I just total up cost and savings over a total 12 (or 18) months and see whether to jump. This year it's back to BT and saving £120 over 18 months over cheapest Plusnet would offer me for my unlimited fibre.

Been with Plusnet for years. I download an average of 200 gigs a month (a few years ago I was doing ~1tb a month). I have no issues with speed or hidden caps. Always found customer service to be very good also.

PlusNet customer for 15 year with not even a single problem in that time, despite downloading a shed load of stuff XBox etc & have set up 15 friends & family on PlusNet all who are happy with the service.

I think if you look at the community pages of any BB supplier you are going to find people complaining & given a huge amount of BB relies on BT to furnish the line its often out of the providers hands?
