Trying to put together a film using Windows live Movie Maker at the moment, and don't like the interface at all, and you can't edit non- linearly!!
Anyone know anything that works 1/2 decently, with mpegs, and has a fairly good layout- I'm used to using Premier (I say used, I used to use it about 4 years ago) and Cubase for music

if you were feeling really evil then there are ways and means of obtaining Premier or indeed all of CS2/3/4
and surely windows movie maker is purely non linear?
You can drag things around in Movie maker, but you can't construct a rough edit in the way I'm used to- all the files are up against each other- all a bit fisher price
Yes, there are evil and dispicable ways to find a copy of Premier, but they are places I'm not really sure I want to go with a nice shiney new virgin laptop....
perhaps you need to check what non linear editing is 🙂
either way, if you have up to date virus software then the places of which you speak are not so evil
