First ever attempt at using a DSLR. Borrowed a canon eos 1100D for scenes like this whilst on my holiday.

Although this is nowhere near as good as most of the other pictures on this thread, I am really pleased with it. Taken using the standard 18-55mm lens. The wife is also impressed with the quality, so much so she doesn't like our current compact camera any more, and is already looking at getting something much better.

Picked up a new, to me, DSLR off IvanDobski from the classifieds at the weekend. It's been about 8 years since I've taken any real photos so I'm happy to be back at it again. Need to remember how to use a camera though, my last decent one was an SLR. No digital 🙂
