Thanks for the comments, It's in a village called Lazonby in The Eden valley which sits between The North Pennines and the Lake District national park.
Near Penrith.
I've added a geotag to the photo so you can see exactly where it was taken.

Great place, overlooked and very quiet.

The view the other way on a different day.

The last shot was a 'rare' digital shot on a Nikon D700 all the rest are either with a Rolleiflex 3.5f or a Hasselblad 500 c/m.
Was just using the digital to get an idea of exposure value's for night time scenes so i can get some night film shots and not have to use a light meter.

I'd just like to say that I had a nice surprise today, looking through the Western Daily Press, got to the Letters page, and saw my Severn Bridge/egret photo there! I've sent quite a few in, but that's only the second they've printed.

jb, it's from Mell Fell near Penrith.
Great fell for kids and nipping up if you've just got a couple of hours to take photos.
Grand panoramas for very little effort.

Loads of great photos here, a like button would be much easier.

I can't quite put my finger on it now! Looks a bit busy in the background to be Stac Pollaidh but definitely feels familiar....the rock type and general sparseness fits with Assynt. I was thinking it was the far west point (Western Buttress Route?) on Stac Pollaidh looking over to Cul Mor.

put us out of our misery bigjim 😉

thanks, yeah love it up there, one of the things I miss about Inverness is deciding at 11am that its quite a nice day and then being somewhere like that a couple of hours later
