@scotroutes that's what I'd consider the perfect place to live. Where is it?

Less than half a mile from the local council tip in Telford (OK, it's closed at the moment, but who didn't know that, so why load the car up in the first place?)

Gravel "adventure" to bag the highest point in Cambridgeshire and Essex (they are only a couple of miles apart). Pic at the Essex high point - a whopping 151 m.

The geographic high point was also the high point of the ride as featured actual singletrack for a few metres, bluebells and a couple of Roe deer.

Did a little bit of exploring in the areas next to my now normal loop. Discovered an old railway line I had no idea about and a small section of canal too. Will come in handy for making a loop work in the opposite direction to what I normally do.

@thelawman - its worth reporting to the local council. I've been taking photos when I see it and reporting them on the Calderdale Council portal. Hopefully they'll be something in there to link it back to the numpties doing it.

@ElShalimo - yep, I'd intended to do exactly that, and then promptly forgot. Job for Sunday. I did have a look at a couple of the cardboard boxes to see if there were any address labels; no joy. At least I cleared the bed parts off the road so as to allow room for traffic to pass, not that there's much on the lane in question.

Sat in the park this afternoon after the council reopened it. Really glad, it’s a lovely spot to have a sit down partway round my Saturday afternoon wander into town to do some light shopping.

Been waiting 6 weeks to post here. Spain finally let accompanied kids out for 1h a day, 1km radius from home. The boy hasn't left the house since 15th March. Adults and kids over 14 will likely be let out from next weekend.

It was ace fun chasing these two around - it was like RoadRunner with a dust cloud following us all at golden hour... I'm so proud of the youngest one - he's suddenly found real climbing power, an ability to judge well what he's capable of and ride with real confidence. 😎

The empty M25 reminds me of the M32 cycling club. All you had to do was cycle from the St Paul's roundabout up to the M4 and back. Some of the members went on to found a major cycle campaigning group - possibly.

A few from the week:

Fly tipping. Reported and removed.

Bike and Bluebells.

A big thanks to the trail pixies. A small kicker to a berm. Amazing that this is only 600 metres from my front door. So well hidden that I never spotted before. If you were responsible I'll get you Beer after this is all over (assuming you are over 18). Nice one.

Exit from the new found trail. Even though I'm awesome* I walked it. Seriously steep and off camber.

* Not true!

Love the adder photo, never seen one in the wild.
Went over to Avebury this afternoon for a little stroll away from the village, along a byway up to the Ridgeway, back along the Ridgeway to the Herepath and back down to the car. The stones have been closed off, and according to a lady I met while walking up towards the Ridgeway, they’ve been hit pretty hard by C19, she said she’s buried three from the village so far, I guess she’s a rector, I didn’t ask, but she said people have been sticking up posters saying C19 is a hoax and doesn’t exist! I mean, W the actual F?
Anyway, it was a perfect afternoon, not many people about, and nice and quiet, skylarks singing ‘n’all!

Another coastal shot but I am surrounded by water with roads/paths/trails everywhere so that’s why. And whilst out round the deserted coastline tday we surprised a pair of coppers having a picnic (bag of crisps/can of coke actually) besides their car whilst parked up at carrick shore (Galloway) so me n’ mum stopped further along as well for our fruit break.

Edit : forgot you can’t publish Flickr pics using iPhone, its a nice pic....trust me

I sussed out that I'd not had a cheese and onion pasty for over a month. Then word reached me that Greenhalghs bakery was open. So it made a nice 12-mile round trip to forage for pasties and sausage rolls

I can see this becoming a regular thing 😀

First ride on the Jeffsy for a month as the dropper was away being serviced, dodging rain and hail showers.

Unfortunately I had an off on a tame bit of bridleway I've ridden 10's of times, I got a little off line to the right which caused my bars to get grabbed by the undergrowth, which then ejected me off. Wasn't going massively fast, 15mph according to my gps, but the bike stopped a good 15ft down the trail and I landed on my shoulder which is now pretty painful. 🙁 Pretty sure nothing is broken, just swollen and hurts to move it in sone directions. Rest and painkillers for me for the next few days!

Thickthorn Woods, Warwickshire

Crackley Woods, Warwickshire. HS2 workers putting in heavy shifts to destroy ancient woodland right in nesting season and ignoring any social distancing. All of this activity seemingly sanctioned by the Police and hired bully boys who guard the perimeter 24/7......which is nice.

Yous might've read that as of today, we too can have our 1-a-day in Spain. As we 'de-escalate' the lockdown, the restrictions are actually stricter than the UK's have ever been - solo pursuits only, within your city limits, between 6-10am or 8-11pm (over 65s get the post-10am slot). Some municipal boundaries contain more riches than others - we at least get Igeldo and Ulia mountains either side of town. Photo also in the running thread - will do a MTB ride up there again tomorrow as my knee is quite badly borked.
