@Dashed I seem to think I know where that is from riding along the Mersey once 18 months ago. If you look left is there a great big bridge?
Yesterday's morning road ride down the valley in glorious sunshine and not a breath of wind. The wind turbines in the background were all still. A real rarity. I didn't half pick an opportune time to get a road bike. Just before the lockdown. Very out of character for me. Loving the empty traffic-free roads

And here's Sundays walk with my girls through the local woods. Binnerette number 1 immediately took advantage of the school-free situation to dye her hair bright blue. I'd expect nothing less. We need to find loads of Bluebells so she can camouflage herself

Living in the sticks hasn't half come into its own this last few weeks. I really feel for people who aren't lucky enough to have access to any decent outdoor space from their door
Trying to explore the familiar to avoid getting too far from home. Found a lovely little bit of singletrack up on the moor.

Not a photo, as such, but I've reworked one of my designs to get the social distancing message across

A good 17 miles up round Cardiff and the hills behind:

Sadly slightly ruined by coming across a couple who had come all the way from Bristol to walk their dog and towards the end finding lots of groups not keeping their distance form anyone. Roads are busier than last week too, mainly private cars.
Last nights run

Apologies for the multiple re-posts up there, I don't know what happened!

This mornings bimble. Got time for a bimble every day now I've been furloughed.

You've got a 15-minute edit window. After that you'll have to email moderator@ or report the post so you can bring it to our attention, then we can remove them for you. Which you did and we have. (-:
Nice bluebells there Stu.
Fab aren't they.
Went through the same woods last week and there was no sign of them so it was a pleasant surprise.
Mix of gravel and road on the Sequoia this afternoon, 22.5km in all - perfect weather!

New wall, old wall

First road (only) ride in about a year yesterday after just MTbing and riding my CX bike on paths. Was a lovely day for it and I enjoyed that nice feeling you get when you get into a smooth rhythm on the big ring and can just churn away.

After a long time out of the saddle I’ve really enjoyed being back on it lately. Hopefully the feeling lasts.

From last night's cross bike trundle

It's our youngest daughters 22nd birthday today. She should have been getting all excited about disappearing to Canada after Uni finished along with fitting in some races.
Instead she has been doing jigsaws and trying to keep her fitness levels up.
Tonight's celebrations include watching a film an eating birthday cake. I may need to stop my eldest baking as we haven't finished the last one
Today's is chocolate fudge cake
A 23k round trip from the door to the highest point in Shropshire, Brown Clee hill yesterday afternoon. A bit of road then some bridleways and byeways I'd not used before to get there. Found a memorial I'd not noticed before to the 23 allied and German airmen who died in the Clee hills during WW2. Didnt see one car and barely saw another soul.

More rigid fun. Got a load of PRs on climbs thanks to the low weight.
A bit of funky cloud formation on tonight's ride

Not going to post this morning's photo as it's at the end of a rather cheeky trail.
Was another bloody enjoyable ride though. Took the MTB this time and much fun was had. Having said that, I did take the chicken run down one particular section I normally ride. Seemed a damn sight steeper than normal and the parched conditions made it super sketchy. No way was I going to risk going gnar.
@ElShalimo thanks it is a place called Wavering Down on the Mendip hills, the view is looking over towards The Quantock Hills and Exmoor in the distance
👍
Yesterday's ride was a short loop around the local hills. Also did a little loop in some woods that one of the local estates has put in and is open to the public though they don't advertise it. Nice and warm but a strong headwind at times. Trails were dry and dusty.
