Just bought a second hand 307 but there is only one key fob!Can I buy another one off of ebay and program it to work on my car????
Are you talking about the key or just the fob?
If just fob to open doors I'm sure it can be done, if its programming a key then its a main dealer job.
It's a Peugeot. Surely a brick and a pair of pliers are all you need to get in and start it 😈
I've got the same problem with the car I've just bought (A3).
IFAIK, you can get a replacement key cut with a microchip that will work for the immobiliser but probably wont set any alarms etc when using it to lock/unlock the car. If you want the full remote that will do everything it's a back-to-dealer-to-reset-everything-and-charge-a-fortune job.
That's what I was lead to believe anyway. Might be different for Peugeots...
Remote alarm fob will need to be programmed by a dealer
There should be a credit card with all the info on it for the new key.
My Pug only came with one key, its the norm on French Shi#e.
It depends on the car, some cars have a teach function where you can use a key to programme the new key yourself for free. Find the peugeot owners club and do some searching on their forum. With many cars it's also possible for lots of places to programme keys not just dealers.
I have the same problem with a Fiat, £180 for a key plus £42 for 'programming'
Bargain..
Note to self, never buy a car with only one key...
