I'm sure many of you hate 'em, ha ha... but watching their Glastonbury set (they could teach Gorillaz a thing or two about putting on a show - with the aid of nothing more than a few backing dancers and some, erm, boxes...) I was lost in uber-childhood soundtrack nostalgia. I was about nine when West End Girls came out, and their albums were pretty much the first records I actively sought out as a kid - prefiguring a later love of all kinds of electronic music (I was a little bit too young at the time to understand all the early house basslines on 1988's Introspective...). Behaviour in particular remains one of my favourite albums of all time - nobody does a better job of melancholy, disguised as bludy ace pop music. Anyway, one of my faves... the [url=
mix of Rent.

Not a fan tbh, I can see why people are, just don't do a lot for me though 🙂
The Pet Shop Old People . . . .
but I do like some of their stuff 🙂
I think some of their stuff is brilliant though it was often intersperced with some pretty boring stuff.
My wife dragged me along to the NEC to see them many moons ago - I nodded-off for a while - the dullest live act I've ever seen by far!
The glasto set looked the same as the one they did at latitude last yr (boxes on heads etc)
Mildly entertaining for its retro appeal but I'd prefer to see a band whose music I have bought in the last 20 yrs....
