But it's not, that's the problem, it's just a damned good film. I like it, a lot, but the fact that there are still to many little things that are out of place or just wrong ruin it. You could even argue that having to upgrade to the director's cut to see a perfect film would automatically discount it from being in the running.
As much as I love that film, I can't say it's perfect.
Police academy 4 & 2.
That Ninja film with hulk hogan and some kids. Its good!
Spy kids is also one THE BESTEST films ever.
So. But was it "perfect"?
that there are still to many little things that are out of place or just wrong ruin it.
I don't really want to start an argument, but I'd be interested to hear some examples.

There Will Be Blood.
donks - MemberJaws....almost perfect but not quite as good as the book.
Missed out the affair between Hooper and Ellen Brodie.
Part from that, it's almost there. 🙂
plus 1+'s to Donk & Rusty Spanner.
Loved the book as a kid, read it after seeing the film for the first time, and they were so close to being 'bang on' with the movie
oh, and a quick edit to add to my list:
No Country For Old Men
Jungle Book
Also missed the fact that they dont know if the shark is dead,Hooper dies and Brodie has to swim for shore with the threat of Jaws following. Plus the baby Dolphin bit but apart from that its pretty good.
Craig Daniel in Casino Royale
