[Closed] Pegoretti passes on.

I had a custom  made, Pegoretti blue steel frame about 10 years ago that I look back on with fond memories.....

I've seen some awesome paint jobs on his frames.

Very sad... i’ll be taking my Marcello out for a spin in the morning.

he battled lymphoma 12 years ago but still taken too soon.

met him once and had email conversations about my frame, was a really humble person and a truly great frame builder, as Richard Sachs said (on Dario) ‘he has forgotten more than we will ever know.

When I ordered my Marcelo he had just got the all clear from the lymphoma and promptly buggered off on holiday - the frame took about 18 months to materialise 😂

Still riding it 5 or 6 times a week some 10 years later.  I've bought others but they've not stuck around long, always reach for the Peg.

Met a bloke once who was riding a Responsorium with "I don't really give a ****" (but unredacted) painted on the top tube. When I asked why, turned out that was his response when Dario asked how he wanted the paint job.
