Hi
I have accepted an offer on my house today!! And we are 99.9% sure we wish to move to Peebles. We currently live in Dundee and really like Peebles from what we have seen so far. We go to Glentress a lot so that is a huge decision in our move. I find Peebles very aesthetically pleasing and it seems a really nice place.

Anyone live or know the town really well and wish to share any opinions on what it like as a place to live?
What areas are the best and which to avoid?

I have 155k to spend on either a two bed house or flat with private garden, there are several properties on the net what take my fancy.
Just me the mrs and our two labs, mountain bikes as well of course. I have 12 weeks till the sale is complete so plenty of time!!

Thanks

Joe

Just to add what is the night life like? We are both in our thirties and enjoy our Friday nights in pub.

Your not too far from Edinburgh so you have options there for your nights out.

I take it your work is not in Dundee.

I left the military last year and currently having a two year 'career break' but will be looking for some sort of job in Edinburgh. My partner has business in Dundee but can manage it from home.
