I've just sold my DSLR on ebay - logged in to Paypal to find the payment is pending - apparently I won't be able to use the money for 21 days - has anyone had this before?

My message said that as soon as the buyer left positive feedback the money would be released.
Have you had feedback from the buyer, that can hold up paypal clearing, but I don't know where the 21 days comes into that
Yup, common problem. Once you post, and receive +ve feedback it'll be released.
The 21 days might have something to do with the time limit that the buyer has to raise a dispute then. Just send the buyer a message, check they're happy and chivvy them up with the feedback
Yup, had this. I don't think I'll be selling again on ebay, as things are stacked too much in favor of the buyer. If you ask the buyer for feedback as funds are on hold, is it not an invitation to give -ve feedback and get the goods for free?

No, because the seller will get the money after 21 days anyway, but the +ve feedback frees the money up within the 21 days.
