Someone bought an item from me that was absolutely totally as described and as pictured. Not on STW by the way!
When the buyer got it in person he decided he didn't like it and asked for a refund. It was an item listed as no returns.
He admitted it was as described but just didn't like the design, despite having a clear description and pics.
I refused the return and he opened a Paypal case saying it did not fit, which it absolutely does so this is an outright lie!
I sent Paypal screenshots of the buyer admitting that the item was as described but "just not for me" and that it was clearly listed as no returns but they still sided with him and instructed a refund.
SO UNFAIR but is there anything I can do?! It's infuriating that they just accept that "it doesn't fit" when I sent in pictures of it clearly fitted as well!! I think they pretty much ignored the info I sent in.
Anyone ever managed to turn a similar situation around?
Cheers! And ARGH!
Had pretty similar with a tool I sold. It was well used and described as such but still working fine when I sent it. Buyer left positive feedback saying it was as described, then a month later he opened a case saying it wasn't working and wanted to return it. I said it was a bit late now but if he paid postage I'd take it back. He refused saying I should pay postage. When I asked for more details he said it was working just not how he expected, whatever that means. This went on a while until it got handed over to eBay to decide. They just sent a stock reply stating buyer says it isn't working and I must refund. I phoned them using the online contact info. Firstly the rep repeated the stock reply, said that as the buyer has the item they have to take their word. I then went through the messages where he'd stated it was actually working. She kept putting me on hold. About 20 mins later she said the case was closed, money was unfrozen from my paypal. It was listed as no returns so that was that. A pain but not too bad to deal with
