Easy. But easier still to sign up for a PAYG on https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge which then does it automatically

Saved me 35 quid just last week! I probably won't sign up for an account for the once in a blue moon trip, so I'll get busted for £35 next time no doubt.

I'm signed up now. Going for a weekend on the lash with some old friends so the chance of cock-up is high.

Out of interest do they ping you an email/text once you've been charged?

From experience It's clunky as hell and might not work. Dunno why its not included in congestion charging system either.
