The owners must be gutted they did not sell when Spain were offering them loads of cash.

He'd have put a few squid on it if he did...

Calamari is squid, surely?

I love the fact that in Spain, you can get little tins of Pulpo in supermarkets, often in a sauce of some kind, that you can have as a tasty snack. No wonder Spain win at sports; they have little tins of squid and octopus, what do we get? Prawn cocktail crisps, if we're lucky. 🙁

Is that my fiance up there? Woohoo! 😀 (Waves)

Easy Tiger (prawn)! Lay off the prawn cocktail crisps...they are, and always will be, lush.

I've just discovered a tin of Pulpitos in the cupboard! Result! 😀

'If you feel like a tasty snack
Unzip a tin of pulpitos!'

I have a vision; to bring to Humanity the unparalleled joy of an octopus and banana snack-food product. Healthy, nutritious and oh so delicious. No more Obese Britain; I shall be the saviour of fat kids everywhere!

The knighthood's just a formality. It's obvious really.

I had thought that it might be seen that way, Eth3r, but I don't think there was any lack of sensitivity on the part of the OP.

Possibly the wierdest octovariant I've found was baked beans and pulpo.
I brought some home with me and my daughter took it to her school harvest festival. I bet it went down well in the women's refuge the food went to 😳

I'll put in a good word for you. Popping round to see Liz for a sherry later.

Ok, I've asked the mods to change the title. No offence intended, just thought it was a nice little lighthearted story.

I think black-eye beans and a garlicky tomato sauce would work well, actually...

this was more yer cost-cutter pulpo and cheap beans if I remember correctly. It was in a box, not a can.

A box? What, a cardboard box?

How can you put octopus and beans in a cardboard box? 😯

I've got a lot of respect for Paul.

Not only did he make it out of Weymouth, but he found fame too.
