I’m starting to suspect that there is plenty of bog roll, it’s just some supermarkets are having a laugh and not refilling shelves when it gets bought…

I'm sure there is, its fairly simple to produce - having a total of 2 key ingredients, wood and bleach, neither of which should have been affected.

However its high volume and low value, non-perishable and "non-essential"; so unless you've got a fleet of trucks and drivers previously sat doing nothing, how exactly is it getting to the shelves in your local? What exactly are they going to cut deliveries of to make way for it?

Panic buying? Hmmm, guilty I'm afraid.
I've bought;
An extra book of stamps, second class.
Some paint, white.
A spare set of reading glasses, clear.
Some neoprene wellies, grey.
And yesterday I panic cut the grass, green.
And I also put some air (clear) in the tyres

I think I'm prepared for Armageddon...

Our @binners has kept quiet about these. It's a Northern thing right?

I’d rather eat a tagnut.

I tried to persuade my wife that with all the potential food shortages it would be prudent to buy a new fishing rod, reel and tackle; but she just laughed and said we'd be long dead before I caught anything 🙁

On a debatably less essential to survival note, I wonder if it is worth panic buying spare brake pads, chains, cassettes etc. in case supply get properly messed up?

Local Lidl’s loo roll shelves are empty. Plenty of tissues and wet wipes in stock though. People really are quite stupid aren’t they. Got to wonder who started this loo roll shortage thing!

I think I'll get the Orange Speedwork you all advised me to buy. I'll be going so fast the virus won't catch me.

I honestly think it was me in an attempted put-down on page 2 to a poster who'd said he was stocked up and ready, asking how much bogroll he could need! (On any list of things you need to survive self isolation bogroll would be close to the bottom. As it were). How wrong I was. Smile wiped off my face.

Likewise, I bet everyone who got hold of those last crates of alcoholic sanitising gel is going to be rubbing their hands together...

I was close to panic buying some spare pads for my new road bike, but not quite panicking so much that I can't wait for an Uberbike discount code.

Accidentally panic bought an extra 4 pints of milk as my wife didn't tell me she was picking some up too.

And bizarrely Sainsbury's has sold out of bubble bath!

Called in to B&Q to get some paint yesterday... massive pallet full of loo rolls just through the door.
Stopped at the local Bata garage for some petrol... massive pallet full of loo rolls just through the door.
Went in to Aldi for some bits and bobs... massive pallet full of loo rolls in the specialbuys aisle of dreams.
Also, loads of loo roll on the normal shelves. Except for the blue 9 pack ones I normally buy (and needed some more!). I refused to pay more for posh stuff and didn't want inferior stuff, so ended up with 2x 4 packs of the normal stuff. What has humanity come to? Oh, the inconvenience of it all.

We’ve just been given each a box of Tracker Bars (cereal/nut/fruit) from work.

Clearly don’t want us to go hungry 😱☕️🤦‍♂️

Right, got myself a Muin turbo trainer. Just waiting for BoJo's announcement in a few minutes before I'll tell the missus.

If anyone else is searching for the increasingly rare ones at Halfords then Crewe has four.

I’ve been very sensible with my panic buying over the previous few days, only essential stuff such as an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, steelseries nimbus game controller, Disney Plus, baseus 6in1 usb thingy for iPad, fast charger/cables for iPad, few cases of heart & soul ipa from vocation brewery, Balvenie Caribbean cask, Balvenie Doublewood, 4 chilli/cheese sourdoughs from local crusty baker, 1kg of rainton farm carrick cheese, 500g of kalamata olives, 4 jars of fav red onion chutney, 8 bags of lauries hot/spicy kimchi, 12 bottles kombucha, 6 boxes of eggs from a mates chooks, 4 tubs double cream, 5 bags coriander (all food essentials for my morning scrambled eggs) 4 boxes paracetamol, 2 oz of northern lights x power plant and finally a box Aldi bum wipes.

Come to think of it If I eat/drink all the above over the “isolation” period I doubt I’ll need the bum wipes as I’ll expire through gluttony so may list them on classifieds 😉

Got to wonder who started this loo roll shortage thing!

A rumour went around Australia (!) that all their supplies came from Wuhan. Locusts descended and then it went viral (sorry, not sorry) and the Gammon here started buying like it was the end of the world.

Isn't social media and a lack of critical thinking great?
