I'm thinking about trying Thunderbird, I appreciate some comments, I'm currently using Outlook 2002.

Stick with outlook, whilst firefox seems well developed thunderbird seems a bit rough round the edges

I prefer Eudora to Outlook.

I stuck with TB for a year or so. BAd things are calendar integration which i did read was fixed and synch to mobile devices. I gave up eventually and went to Outlook. Life much easier.

for email thunderbird wins hands down.
if you need calendar integration, it's not so clear cut.

Email works great on thunderbird, no idea about the calendar thing I don't use it.

Email with TB, calendar is also available from Mozilla. No Microshot at all here.
