McT was a very lucky boy to stay on the pitch today. He was getting a bit giddy

Being a Scot i do like him, but he does have that weakness a lot of scottish players have, which is the lack of being able to tone it down, especially in the day and age of play acting, Tierney is the same, 100% committed, but that goes against them at times.

I love a game with full blooded tackles etc but I don’t think McTominay should have been on the pitch for the full game. At least two yellows - if not more.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/feb/21/a-day-with-leeds-and-manchester-united-fans-police

Article about yesterday’s game. I know it’s not a n individual club, league or even country specific problem but this habit of chucking objects at players needs to stop before something terrible occurs.

I think Diego Simeone has either been smoking crack or he's been transported back in time to the year 2000, as he's just referred to United as 'one of the best teams in the world at the moment'.

Aye, righto...

Should be a good match though. They're nearly as leaky as us at the back so it could be anything. Though in saying that I've probably cursed it to a nil nil.

@binners - what's the odds on Suarez first goal and a 2-0 win?

Atletico 2-0 is 12/1 but that would be a mad bet as we’ve got our goal machines Maguire and Fred in the squad

The Uruguayan chomper to score first is 5.5/1, Ronnie is 5/1, Maguire 26/1, Fred is 31/1 😂

I’ve had a punt on Cavani at 6.5/1

Some pretty spectacular falls, screams and rolling in this game. I'm sure Simione will ask them to cut that out at halftime.

But we once again got to hear the familiar phrase ‘he got across Harry Maguire…’

He’s an absolute donkey!

And again! Stood there ball-watching

Useless!

Absolutely terrible first half. We’re bloody lucky to only be one down

I heard some local yoofs calling each other “Harry Maguire” as an insult the other day 😂

Well we got away with that

In other news…

Could you be more Spursy than beating City then losing to Burnley? Surely that’s the dictionary definition? 😂

And the title race looks well and truly on now

Leeds really in the mire now that Burnley have picked up a couple of wins and have games in hand. Everton too.

We're an absolute shit show at the moment, no wonder we're the laughing stock of the Prem!

I'm predicting that we'll finish in eigth place.

Conte not happy either, going by press conf last night. Pretty big hints he may walk.

So we might well end up with Conte at United, after all?

Spurs are playing another blinder with their managerial appointments. They seem to be attempting to make our owners look competent

That would be very.... Spursy. Did he forget to Google Daniel Levy before he took the job or something?

I'm expecting Villa to be dragged onto this too.

Brentford too as they've played more games than everyone else down there. Its looking like its going to be a proper relegation scrap that could go down to swapping places on the final day of the season with each goal scored

Leeds' goal difference might come back to bite them. Only worse one is Norwich I think.

As an aside, if dodgy Russian assets are being frozen, then what impact does that have on Chelski?

When Harry Maguire and his brother (who plays for Ilkeston Town) got into trouble with the law in Greece a couple of years ago the Ilkeston paper ran with "Ilkeston player and his brother arrested" which made me laugh

Brentford are on shaky ground I think, 5 or 6 games without a win. Big 6 pointer at the weekend for them and others hoping not to get dragged in.

Just reffering to my earlier post re Spurs losing in the wet...

Man City (Dry) = Win
Burnley (Wet) = Lose
Leeds (Dry) = Currently 3:0 up

I should have put money on today's game...

Credit to Eddie Howe and Newcastle - really turned things around. Burnley back to being Burnley too - Brentford and Leeds looking vulnerable.

I'm sure that's not just some kind of cynical attempt to avoid potential future sanctions...

Presumably to keep the club out of the control of the government if his assets are seized - Boris controlling the club would probably see them relegated with three games to go....

I'd imagine the ref would have been told to look if the roles were reversed, some weird stuff happens up in Stockley Park!

Bollocks! I hate agreeing with Piers Morgan!

https://twitter.com/piersmorgan/status/1497647003026669569?s=21

The interesting thing about Abramovic’s ‘stewardship’ of Chelski is that all the money he’s put into the club (an estimated £1.5 billion) is in the form of loans. So should he get his assets frozen or booted out of the country, then that puts the club in a very ‘interesting’ position.

Alan Davies probably put it best about Abramovic

As a member of the keepers union, an exponent of the big Nev school of knocks, how ****ing weak is Ederson rolling about like a fanny there.

I assume he had those tattoos done under a general anaesthetic.

If Abramovich really wants to prove he’s not a Putin puppet, he should denounce the war loudly and clearly.

When your wealth comes from being a mate of a psychopathic killer you might be cautious about falling out with them. I mean you might have a mate who'll get in your face if you upset them but I suspect they don't keep nerve agent in the fridge with the milk.

To be fair Richarlison showed him how to do it at least 20 times in the match.

But we definitely got away with one on the handball, baffling decision.

With regards to the Chelski situation, Mrs Binners, who has worked for years in the financial part of the charity sector and specifically with the Charitable Foundations of Everton and Liverpool, so really knows the rules on this stuff, just read that Abramovic statement and immediately said “that’s not legal! He cant just do that”

Good job they haven’t got a big match on tomorrow

Oh…

I suspect things are about to get very , very messy at Chelski. The Charitable Foundation is now in control of a club that owes £1.5 billion in outstanding loans to a holding company owned exclusively by a Mr R Abramovic, who looks like he’s about to have his assets frozen

That’s a shame

I’m sure the Premier League will find a way to stop the Chelsea house of cards collapsing.
