Everton fans showing their 'bitters' nickname is fully justified again I see. Imagine booing VVD for, erm.... being sickeningly injured by one of your players?

Rrrriiiiiggghhhttt. Cos they are the only fans in the league that boo opposition players.

Makes our transfer dealings look laser focussed, tactically astute and great value for money

It really doesn't. But it makes them look less bad.

Same problem different team. New manager signs players, gets canned. Next new manager signs players, gets canned. Etc. Eventually you end up with a squad of guys who are tactically incompatible. Still they haven't bought Lukaku back for twice what they sold him for yet, so there is that to look forward to.

Well I said nothing of the kind did I. But booing a player because he was horrifically injured by one of your team's players seems pretty dark. Or is there another reason?

But then Everton fans are always booing something or other.

Well, due to the wonders of Amazon Prime I can watch the Man U game without relying in the binners live feed on here 👍

Kinda seems like you did, unless all the teams are nicknamed bitters.

But booing a player because he was horrifically injured by one of your team’s players seems pretty

Is that why? Or did you just assume that?

But then Everton fans are always booing something or other.

Right, not football fans always booing something but Everton fans. Rrrriiiiiggghhhttt.

lol at the united players wanting a goal written off because Fred fouled his own goalkeeper.

Thank god McCoist doesn't work for Sky, he sounds like my dad talking all the way through the football!

Bielsma or di Canio or Sven would have ordered them the let united score.

Oh, and @grum, I think the reason Everton fans were booing VVD is because when they celebrated the 0-0 in the derby, he criticised them and said it was proof Liverpool should have won.

Why England fans boo him is less clear, unless it's because he plays for the pool and they think they are up themselves and believe they should win everything by divine right, because they did it in the 70s. Or something

De Gea wasn’t even hurt - quickly got to his feet once the physio arrived. If he’d broke his leg I can see validity in Arsenal letting United score. Play to the whistle!

True enough. After all, your explanation makes so much more sense. I distinctly remember everyone booing Alf-inge Haland after Kenae crocked him.

I think we hit peak Fred last night

Took out De gea, went up the other end to got an assist, won a penalty, gave it away about 50 times, won it back about another 50

In a lot of ways he reminds me of this headcase

You just never know what you’re going to get

The original sweeper keeper, or as we referred to it at the time: WTF IS HE DOING WANDERING ABOUT AROUND THE CENTRE CIRCLE?!!!!

Yeah, Fred definitely isn't for the faint hearted united supporter!

He does have ability, and in the right formation and position he's going to do well, but as Roy Keane says, not in central midfield, he's too prone to losing the ball and being turned over if pressured.

For me last nights game was just a battle between two teams not at their best, and won by the home team by a single goal, Arsenal actually reminded me of United earlier this season, you had Partey and Elneny playing miles apart and losing the ball all the time, Tavares was doing his best wan bissaka as well, being pulled out of position and played around with easy passes, the front players were just running about at times, and Aubameyang is just not the same player, they've had a good run lately, but Arteta still has a lot of work to do!

Aubamayang looks like he really just can’t even be arsed any more and it’s all a bit too much trouble

It was like watching 2 faded divas battle over a tiara. Can't believe Fred is Brazilian, he's more like something from the mines of Moria.

Aaron Ramsey got loads of stick from Stoke fans after Ryan Shawcross did his best to end his career. Lovely 😐

Enjoyed the game last night - the battle for 6th. Interested to see what effect Rangnick has - Carrick off already which is probably good for him, and the club. Arsenal looked a bit weak in centre mid - Partey and Elneny gave it away a lot and Odegaard, good technical player that he is, doesn’t have the physicality for the league.

The funny thing was that after that goal decision, united upped their effort, it actually spurred them onto the victory IMO. If that hadn't happened they were looking on for another soft defeat.

We’ve been doing that for over a season now. We’ll normally ship two soft goals in the first half, sometimes in the first couple of minutes, before finally waking up for the second

Or not.

I’m not sure Masuaku actually meant to do that, but that has to be a strong contender for goal of the season 😳

This has been a superb match and a well deserved win for West Ham

Origi, the weirdest legend to grace a Liverpool jersey. 90% of the time he's awful, but every now and again, genius

He only seems to score really important goals. If there’s no pressure on him then he can’t hit a barn door with a shovel, but when you need a last minute winner to take you top…

Never in the history of a football club has so much been owed by so many to such an average player.

Stunned by how bang average Cities finishing is. Could have had 6 in the first 20 mins if they could hit a cows arse with a banjo. Sterling seems back to form. Lots of shimmies and shakes and then taps the ball directly into the defenders foot.

When Dennis? went down in cities box, he definitely took a boot in the shin. If it was Sterling, who would have gone down more acrobatically, would that have been a pen? Inquiring minds want to know.

Could be your year binners. Crazy to think that’s Utd’s first clean sheet at Old Trafford all season. I’d probably be giving the new coach a 5 year contract on the back of that.

It’s not crazy if you’ve watched our defence* in action. I think Fergie was still in charge last time we got a clean sheet. We like to concede at least one in the first 25 minutes

* the word is used figuratively in this instance and does not imply any actual defending taking place

Oli's mates in punditry always claimed it was the players throwing the manager under the bus, are the following months going to show it was the other way around.

Will be interesting to see how it changes in the coming weeks, doesn't look like the formation is any different, or the starting 11, but i can't see the new guy not fixing the issues ManU have without the ball, player wise, ManU have a great squad and starting 11, but teams have ripped them this year due to knowing and pressing their weaknesses.

January will be an interesting time as well to see who they may go for to be a little more solid, saw they were maybe interested in McGinn at Villa, if they got him the midfield would then be McMcFred
