If you get a chance have a look at Aaron Ramsdale’s save against Leicester. Bit of a worldy.

And there were a couple more outstanding saves from Ramsdale which are worthy of watching. Arsenal starting to look like a team that could get into the top 4 - a huge change from a few months ago when Arteta's head was being called for.

Kane left in the summer. He just left his body behind.

Some Morinhoesque bus parking from Ole. Not necessarily a bad thing. 3 smash and grab goals. 3 centre halfs, wingbacks McFred at the back probably marks the way forward. It probably won't work in Europe and the likes of City and a few others will cut them apart but it'll probably be enough to keep his job and finish respectabky. Maybe Fergie took training when he was at the ground for his 'suit fitting'. If Man U actually want to move forward they have to send that guy on a permanent round the world goodwill tour, never being within 1000 mike's of where they are playing or training.

Which ones were they? Because the save from the free kick is the one I and the media are talking about.

Just heard a man u fan on 5 live saying that Ole has turned it round.

And I thought Scottish fitba fans were optimists! 🤣🤣🤣

Ole will do ok if they go back to their plan of trying to keep it tight and hope one of their class strikers does something brilliant. It will never win them titles though and probably requires Ronaldo to press to be really effective, which isn't going to happen.

Heh heh. If you could pick any side to play needing a win, it’d be Spurs wouldn’t it?

There was an article in yesterday’s Guardian saying exactly that.

I take it he’d been smoking crack?

Well at least Ole seems to have figured out that keeping the odd defender stationed in your own half might not be a bad idea from time to time.

I was amazed that we kept a clean sheet. But then we were playing against Spurs, and Harry Kane who seems to spend most of his time just lozzing about around the centre circle. Somebody should remind him he’s meant to be a striker, not a holding midfielder. I wonder how Levy feels now about his decision to put a stop to his departure? He looks like he’d rather be anywhere else in the world than in the opposition box, wearing a Spurs shirt

His £200m valuation might have gone down just a touch this season.

I don't think Kane enjoyed losing Mourinho, then not getting the move, i can't believe the difference in him this season, when Mourinho came in he added that extra drive into his game, where he'd press with a purpose, now he doesn't seem to have that, Son does seem to be doing the same, but without his strike partner doing the same it's not helping either.

As for ManU, they changed their tactics to what every pundit told them to do, when they lined up the way they did i thought they'd hired Souness as a coach, as he'd said 5-3-2 and Cavani to counterattack, the big test for Ole is next Saturday, where they will have to do this tactic against a young, fast team that has world class players in each area.

Also worth remembering that if Roberto had just held his line a bit better spurs would have gone 1-0 up and i think we'd be talking about a different result today.

I think Levy should think about why he had to get rid of pochettino at the first blip in form.
My Spuds mates hated mourinho due to his ties with Chelsea.

Think Tottenham have real issues with their team, Mourinho was never the right manager for the club, he did get some players firing again, but in the main a lot just didn't fit into his system, Pochettino did well, but he was on the downturn when he left.

Nuno is on a loser as well, his style also doesn't work well with the fans, the moment he subbed Moura kind of summed up what the fans are thinking just now.

Other than his first spell at Chelski, have any clubs fans not hated having Maureen as manager?

His ‘style’ of bus-parking (anti-) football and constant graceless and antagonistic post-match whining is spirit-crushingly depressing when you have to endure it every week

The outcome of many games would be very different if goals were allowed to stand when the player is a mile offside.

Ronnie would have had a second straight after the break, for a start

Spurs were just really Spursy and the scoreline reflected the match. De Gea had nothing to do. Does anyone know what position Kane is actually meant to be playing? Because he certainly doesn’t appear to

It’s difficult to see how Nuno turns this around as the players don’t look interested.

Can we play you every week? 😃

Just catching up with the other games on MOTD and what a performance that was by Ramsdale. A goalkeeping masterclass.

Palace look like a completely different side too under Viera

Was superb, not just the "big" save - he got a lot of chances to improve his keeping skills at his previous club, and will prove to be a great signing if he stays fit. Arsenal's defence will see he keeps his eye in.

Lol grum. Two terrible managerial appointments since Poch left. Good to see the fans having a go at Levy yesterday, their decline from Champions League finalists a couple years ago is on him ultimately.

I dunno. Lukaku keeps getting more expensive despite not really getting any better over the years.

He is a false-false nine playing as a double bluff withdrawn 10.

For PSG.

Huge relief for Leeds after a scrappy 2-1 win at Norwich with both sides showing a lack of confidence and some poor individual performances. Hopefully the win will increase confidence and be a platform to get our season going properly and away from the relegation zone.

It was a good, entertaining end-to-end match, that. Though it definitely felt like a Championship level game (not necessarily a bad thing). You can see why they’re both struggling.

This West Ham v Villa game is pretty good too.

How the hell was that forearm smash not a red card too? He just clothes-lined him! 😳

They should be down to nine men

Nuno getting sacked in the morning. To be honest, I think I'd take Steve Bruce over the rubbish that is currently being served up. Harry Kane is having to play central midfield as it's the only way he gets a touch on the ball.

Reality for Tottenham is they're not going to have any top manager running towards them any time soon, and they're not going to really do much this season, might as well stick with Nuno, he's paid up anyway.

Conte was sniffing round the manu job, another chelsea old boy should go down well with the spuds faithful. Ronald Koeman is available. Couple of old boys knocking around Scotty Parker is doing a good job on the south coast

The reality of the situation at Spuds is that they’ve a squad who downed tools for Poch (who is a truly world class manager - I wish we bloody had him!) and they’ve not picked them back up again since.

The whole team (with the exception of Son) look like a bunch of sulky teenagers who are having a massive strop because everything is just, like SOOOOOO NOT FAIR! They haven’t managed a shot on target in their last two matches.

You’ve a squad full of Ozil’s and Pogba’s. The atmosphere in the dressing room must be absolutely toxic

Gennaro Gattuso was in the running last time. He'd sort the dressing room out right quick.

I saw a few guys who looked like they still wanted to play - some good defensive work and they some tails went up when they were going forward. I think they look more lost than lazy. They had plenty of possession but no ideas if how to break down the back 6. The ball movement was too slow but there was movement off the ball. I suspect that Kane situation is definitely not going to help the atmosphere

Wonder if they have someone lined up to take over? Maybe they've done it now so they can beat Man Utd to Conte.

The modern phenomenon of 'losing the dressing room' being an acceptable tactic is just depressing - it's just a licence for players to sulk and whine (and put in minimal effort) until the board is forced to get rid of whoever they're not getting along with.

Spurs ditching Poch was just madness.

Yeah you'd think Spurs must be 4th bottom or something but I guess the supporters don't like the football and I think in Nuno's case he was like 5th choice so he wasn't going to get cut any slack.
So long as they stay away from Graham Potter then I don't care who they get.

Absolute madness!

So they’re now going to phone up all the managers who said ‘thanks, but no thanks’ to them a few months ago and ask them if they’ve changed their minds?

You couldn’t make it up

I think we all know where this is headed.

It’s inevitable…

😂

iirc one or two of the managerial approaches in the summer broke down because the director of football was dictating a quite detailed style of play. Which, reading between the lines, does make it sound like the "manager" is just the head coach with even less power and influence than many that successfully manage within the modern structure.
