Tried installing scanner i haven't used for years onto my xp home computer. Installed with cd & worked OK first time then realised had copied document upside-down so amended - scanner froze up & now have
this message when i go into 'twain' to scan ;
scanner not found
1 check power cable plugged in
2 check usb port plugged in
3 check usb setting is enabled in BIOS
un-installed,re-installed,power & usb connections OK so conclude
BIOS problem. Anyone know how to overcome this ?
Visioneer scanner btw. Any help appreciated

Not really a fix, but I recently fell out with my scanner too so I took a pic of the document with digital camera, pointed the OCR software at the pic and it picked it up fine.
