Nothing terminal (yet), but PS3 started making a racket this pm. Want to do a spring clean inside as it sounded like the cooling fan making a noise ( ie more than usual)
Can't see any screw heads - so does the top cover just lever off? And is an internal clean advisable?
PS not too lazy for a search engine - just value the advise on here..!
Not really, there is something you can do to run the fan to clean the crap out, see You Tube, Dunno if it works.
IIRC there's one screw under the 'dont remove this sticker' sticker, then the panel with the name on it slides off vertically to reveal the screw heads to disassemble it. Not difficult. That's not a slim line one though, dunno how they work.
Vacuum extension in all the vents and remove HD cradle vacuum on there did it for me.
Hoover on the exhaust vents seems to have done the trick 💡
