Out of the government - obviously didn't get the high-profile job he thought he deserved.
Don't let the door, etc... 😀
BoJo is in No 10 currently finding out what he'll be doing.....
Foreigh Sec ? 😆
bojo gets minister for truth!
bojo gets minister for [s]truth[/s] Health! £350m coming from his own pocket.
nah bojo will get minister for brexit! he has to be held to account for something.
Osbourne and Cameron to sit on the back benches laughing in their sleeves at the front bench and then going back to their mansions.
apparently so! 😆 stbc mind, but that's what the bbc just reported. 😆allthepies - Member

Nothing wrong with Osbourne, nor Cameron for that matter.
LOL, Bojo *is* the Foreign Sec !!!
ATP, you've already done that joke....
...oh wait...
Love the Boris role - fantastic comedy moments in the offing.
FFS, Bojo as foreign sec?
Maggie May trolling the EU from day one then 😀
Oh, FFS
"Amber Rudd is the new home secretary"
Oh God,who will we be at war with first?
That'll be Rudd's reward for slagging of Leadsom.
To be fair, I don't actually think this is a reward for Boris - he's going to be setup to be the fall man. It's a punishment.
Bojo in charge of relationships with our neighbours? It really is the rise of the Dark Side.
A new era of bringing civilisation to the savages 😈
So in that setup, bojo is Vader?
That is missing Boba Fett as home secretary and JarJar Binks as BoJo
"To be fair, I don't actually think this is a reward for Boris - he's going to be setup to be the fall man. It's a punishment."
Good point. I wonder if the task of announcing that disentangling ourselves from the EU isn't feasible might fall to the FS.

+1
How is Foreign Secretey a "setup" Boris will have littoe to do with the Brexit discussions and will focus on World Trade and broader relationships.
Brexit Minister .. Chris Grayling is my call
Osbourne had to go after his conduct in the Referendum, the "punishment budget" was the last , zero credibility.
Can't work out if Boris' appointment is punishment for him or an admission that May doesn't give a toss about integrity or the furious 48.......
How is Foreign Secretey a "setup" Boris will have littoe to do with the Brexit discussions and will focus on World Trade and broader relationships.
So the rest of the EU doesn't have any foreign countries that we will have to talk to and develop policies towards independent of the Brexishambles?
I wonder if the task of announcing that disentangling ourselves from the EU isn't feasible might fall to the FS.
Hehehe.. 🙂
Who gets to be the self inflicted recession chancellor?
Really ought to be an outer
Leadsome for sheer comedy out of her depth?
Where the **** is that little shite Gove gonna pop up
Hammond is Chancellor, was announced a while ago
Bit surprised Brexit has gone to David Davies - Chris Grayling ?
Fox to head new Ministry for International Trade
David Davies? Maybe May is trying to scupper Brexit after all
Fox, international trade, and we didn't think our arms trade could get any less amoral!?!
Taxi for Hunt hopefully.
How is Foreign Secretey a "setup" Boris will have littoe to do with the Brexit discussions and will focus on World Trade and broader relationships.
I've generally avoided the forum Brexit discussions but this has to be the nadir of failing to understand the massive task* ahead...
*aka avoiding the economy becoming FUBAR...
Oh you could not make this up, prepare for war economic, internal and actual - Theresa is going to look after YOU! whoever the **** you is.....
Blair and Cameron both loved to be seen to be making foreign policy themselves,Boris may have taken the ultimate spear-carriers role,I hope he doesn't find it beyond him.
She's giving Boris a chance to redeem himself by persuading everyone he hoodwinked last month that actually we might be better off in, he'll do his best to do that as rescuing the situation is his only chance of regaining some credibility (in the political sense, not actual credibility obviously) and have a sniff of No.10 at any time in the future.
Or setting him up.If anything goes wrong with Brexit,Davies and Boris take the fall,if it goes well, long live Chairman May!
Not a bad set of real world experience in the cabinet so far:
Theresa May - Bank of England
David Davies - SAS
Phillip Hammond - Medical Devices
Michael Fallon - Set up a chain of nurseries
Liam Fox - NHS Doctor
It's nice to see a cabinet that's not rammed with lawyers / former BBC Journalists / people who've only ever done politics. Not quite sure where to place Boris though - Mayor, Buffoon or just biding his time until 2020.
Indeed Rob !
Boris, UK cheerleader 😉
Given that Johnson is not actually Eurosceptic, it could be interesting. Maybe it's an olive-branch to the rest of Europe, given that he's not actually minister for Brexit, but I dunno.
Johnson is the perfect showman to try and restore confidence in our international trade efforts, as vacuous as anythhig it might achieve actually is. hopefully keeping markets happy and stable
Davies is a fall guy, an impossible task hes not got the personality t pull off
Hammond, apart from not liking cycling http://road.cc/content/news/159999-transport-secretary-wanted-get-rid-cycling-dft-function-says-ex-appcg-co-chair
His expertise in expenses maxing and tax dodging should cover in handy for the treasurery. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/millionaire-tory-philip-hammonds-200-3231876
He would certainly be good at the schmoozing and entertaining of foreign despots/arms dealers/big businesses and so on.
My German colleagues have nearly wet themselves laughing at BoJo being foreign secretary. There will be endless meetings about wiffwaff and 'flag waving picaninnies' no doubt.
He's presented himself as a court jester. He's going to be received as one and treated as such.
A cabinet made up of global buffoon, a cash for questions minister, tax dodgers, expenses maximisers all with virtually no global experience of business or politics what on earth could go wrong! No one globally is or will take this lot seriously- Mark Carney will be out on his ear next due to his ability to keep banks on a short lead... jobs about knackered

In a way giving those roles to prominent Breixteers is a shrewd move.
"You made this mess, here, you sort it out".
It also keeps the right wingers off her back, and she can point the finger of blame [s]when[/s] if it all goes wrong
In a way giving those roles to prominent Breixteers is a shrewd move
It's a very shrewd move! If it works, she's the PM and wins. If it goes wrong she's got the perfect people to blame.
BoJo is a genius appointment by May. Seriously. You actually don't want a decent Foreign Secretary if you want Brexit to fail to the point you can go to the electorate and say 'hey this just isn't working'.
She's also just given him a great long piece of rope to ensure he is never ever able to challenge her in the future.
Had she left him out in the wilderness he would have chance to recharge and regroup and cause mischief and mayhem from the sidelines.
She knows he'll be crap and wants him to be crap. This way he's dead and buried and can be blamed for ****ing up our exit strategy. Once he's well and truly finished she'll sack him and get someone decent in.
Don't underestimate May...
And you lot think Boris et all have any staying power?
Bullshit, they'll all resign this time next year having swanned around pretending to be important whilst wear colostomy bags and eating through straws.
They have form and past history in this.
She's a canny Woman, May the Force be with her.

This.
If it turns out Brexit is practical and a good thing, great. If closer scrutiny determines that Brexit is bat-shit mental then the Brexiteers will have to justify failing to exit to their own supporters.
May can take credit if it works, Boris et al take blame for canning it if it's unworkable.
Some great reactions to Borris' appointment
It seems Cher wishes she could turn back time on Brexit 😯
Think He’s
F-ing Idiot who lied to British ppl
& Didnt have the??
Gove is out of the cabinet. Rightly so after appalling behaviour post referendum.
Johnson has received many congratulations from around the world. He will be an outstanding Foreign Secretary. David Davis can deal with the EU, Johnson can focus on NATO and the rest of the world.
Justine Greening replacing Nicky Morgan at education is very nice to see
Its funny it used to be just us lefties that couldnt stand gove, now everyone hates him 🙂
BoJo recognised as the joke he is

In Boris Johnson, Britain has appointed a liar with his back against the wall as its new foreign secretary at a time when somebody reliable is needed in the role, his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault said on Thursday.Johnson campaigned successfully for Britons to vote to leave the European Union last month. In France, a founding EU member, he is seen as a key player in the departure and in the setback to European integration it represents.
"I am not at all worried about Boris Johnson, but... during the campaign he lied a lot to the British people and now it is he who has his back against the wall," said Ayrault on Europe 1 radio.
I think only Tony Abbot has congratulated Borris
which says an awful lot
