Got the bro-in-law and his new missus for tea. I've spent the afternoon Christmasifying the house and knocking up some Roast Parsnip & Spicy Butternut Squash Soup, individual Beef, Port and Stilton Pies and some home-made mince tartelets.

@allthepies. Yup, only 20 minutes walk from my front door. Their other pub (Charters) is only 10 minutes away.
Shame I'm mostly a cider drinker these days, although Oakham's White Dwarf wheat beer usually tempts me away from the apples.
