it pains me to say this as a scotsman but that was about a yard in FIFA get your act together! If england lose this game they have been robbed and germany would have to admit it. Saying that englands defence is crap

Good on England, They have kept their heads after a dubious ref's call. I reckon they can build on their performance in the second half. All to play for.

Lawrenson too. Referred to England as "us" just before half time.

Remind us again who you earned your caps for Alan?

Drag off Rooney and stick on Crouch?
Daddy Long Legs on Acid, but he is 8ft tall so makes a good target man.

Lol at Lineker "England are back in this." Great game and more goals to come, but I've not seen much evidence that they'll be coming from us; Germans have had what, 6 or 7 great chances?

"I think the ref has been bribed by Ze Germans. getting in the way, disallowing definite goals!"

Assistant made the call, ref took his lead, so apparently they've both been bribed ๐Ÿ™‚ He was miles off position though, I reckon he made the call based on the fact that it bounced back up to the crossbar, rather than actually seeing where it landed.

FIFAs argument is the poorer nations couldn't afford the technology!

Why? I firmly believe in what goes around, comes around. Over a season everything will balance out.

The FIFA should pay for it. They are rolling in cash.

edit: FIFA are set to make $3.75bn profit from this world cup (more than South Africa will apparently)

,
He was in line with the play, where he should've been.

He made the wrong call, but wasn't in the wrong position.

At least if you go out you will have someone to blame ...for a change.
Bet media will take this on the chin and not go into overdrive if score stays the same.

๐Ÿ˜€ Of all the fixtures for that to happen in, after 44 years of hurt - I LOL'd.

A blatant injustice in a huge game like that, one of these days, is going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back and persuades FIFA to introduce video replays or goal-line sensor technology.

yes but it needs to do it over the next 45 minutes or Engerland will be going home despite scoring the same number of goals as Germany.

What I mean is, he was off position to have a perfect view- you're right he was in the correct place but that doesn't help him make the call does it?

Ref is funnily enough giving england every decision in this half.

Apart from not disallowing that goal that is.
