Check engine light has come on in the Honda so I'm looking at getting a OBD2 reader.

Anyone use a bluetooth dongle with the Torque App or is better stick with a wired reader?

Im guessing a wired reader will definately work - how well does a bluetooth dongle work?

I have a bluetooth one I use on my bike for re-maps, throttle balance etc. and it works just as good as the wired one.
I don't use a phone app though.

On my '02 RS Clio it was more of an amusement than anything. And when I took it to a Renault specialist for something minor they read the fault codes & picked up a couple that the cheap eBay OBD2 bluetooth reader & Torque hadn't...
If you're anywhere near Warrington, take it over to TDI-North if you need excellent support.

I use the Bluetooth version with torque on my phone to clear the I-stop error on my Mazda 5. Can't comment on how well it reads the codes as no fault codes on my car but clears the warning light which is all I need until I get round to getting the issue sorted.

The orange ebay thing worked with my citroens and the wifes honda (not the boys clio). the torque bluetooth one didn't work with my citroens but worked with the boys renault. Bluetooth one gives live info. wired one just codes.

I have a generic blue ELM27 or whatever it is that works with my 7th gen Civic through torque.

Different car but I got an ELM and Torque for my mondeo, just to give me some mobile reading as my proper interface needs a laptop. It's alright- nothing like as useful as the excellent ford-specific software I have but pretty impressive for what it is.
