Looking at kitting the house out with oak doors. Well oak vaneer
We have two dogs that hit the doors with their paws which results in scratches on the existing doors (wow that just rolled off the keyboard 😊)
Looking at some super endurable varnish. My thought process is a marine coating, which is super hardcore.
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience of very endurable varnishes ?
Lots of oak doors from suppliers are sold with a pre finished option which is a great hardwearing lacquer.

But as above, if you still want to actually see the Oak, the lacquer the manufacturers tend to apply is about as tough as you'll get. Next step up is thin perspex on top...but that'd look terrible.
