Moz: Rather than getting insulting 🙂 why don't you just elaborate on where the frames have come from, and how someone who admits he knows nothing about bikes comes to be selling them? At no stage have I actually said you've done anything wrong?

Can we assume you are indeed the ebayer/gumtree-er? You have so far implied that you bought the frame (you are now going to sell) from 'Morris in Leeds' like Lester and that it was posted to you (in spite of the ebayer doing local pick up only?).

There does really need to be a better system for identifying stolen goods on ebay and recovering them. As I understand it, it's down to individual forces and it does seem to fall between the cracks.
It was soooo frustrating to see my Slayer on ebay after it had been stolen and for nothing to happen. Surely it could be easy wins for a dedicated police team putting 2+2 together?

No, apparently the Plod cant look at Ebay from Plod-Shops.
They have to be sent the details via email.
Doesn't supprise me, at the gov. dept. where I used to work, eBay was blocked by the firewall. Special internet access had to be given to the IT people as it was the only place they could buy the obselete hardware needed to maintain the servers! David, couldnt you have bid for your slayer and not paid when you went to collect. do you know if you back your ebay account with a CREDIT card you can pay and get the goods and then ask your credit card company to reclaim the money, they give it to you and you have the goods AND the money !! and the money gets taken out of sellers paypal account!!

It's pretty glaringly obvious the seller knows nothing about bikes, which personally would make me incredibly wary from the off - we're not talking about a pub run-around here, it's a piece of high end carbon exotica, not something you buy without a good amount of product knowledge. Even if they're selling on behalf of a friend I'd expect that friend to have given them some proper information.

Moz, you are amazing how did i act sneaky, i didnt check up on anything. i looked at the frame for the first time when i met you, told you it was second hand not new, you offered me money off as you were going on holiday and had got rid of the original winning bidder, and i was still happy to pay £700 for a mojo frame in XL which are rarely offered. you arent quick witted enough for this discussion, and your answers are repetetive and not pertinent. and as the other guy says all you have to do is let us know who your seller was and let us ask them! and then you would be exhonerated ( Klered fromm blaim in your language)

listen guys, there are only two people who have a legitimate say hear, me Lester the buyer and Moz ( who isnt morris the seller haha)everyone else has an opinion and thats all it is on something they have no first hand knowledge of. The ONLY facts are this I bought a frame off of ebay described as new which it wasnt, i paid £49 deposit and £650 balance in cash. i collected it from Leeds station yesterday at 5pm, thats it nobody else " knows " anything.
