Tonight i've a fancy dress party to go to.

Theme is Bristol, so i thought i'd go as the Late Keith Floyd, but with darkened eyes and gaunt looking shadows.

Is it a little too soon to do this?
In general i think the party will include open minded people with a carefree atttiude, most of them are athletes in one form or another not that this should make a difference to their perception of how to have a laugh at things.

Or shall i ditch this idea and go with plan B with is to go as 'some tarmac'

I'd have gone as the Clifton Suspension Bridge. I don't think you've put enough effort into this.

Do it - you get to have a big glass of wine all evening as a prop.

I've put very little effort into this it's true.

I've got a panama hat, dickie bow and very large wine glass.

The thought of me in suspenders straddling a dirty big wet gorge is normally saved for saturday nights.

Why would it be non-PC ? If the party 'will include open minded people with a carefree attitude' I can't see the problem ...... although I can see a problem with going to a 'fancy dress party' .... why do people want to that ?

But you want to cause a stir, shock etc, have you considered the Gary Glitter look ?
