Mostly for use at Spin and that kind of class. Have Garmin 800+Phone apps. Current HRM strap/sender is dodgy but will try the vaseline trick. Considered either a http://www.mioglobal.com/Default.aspx or something like a Garmin GR70. Really not that bothered about GPS.
Options seems to be something like the MIO and carry on using what you have in terms of Garmin/Phone apps, or get a new Watch/HRM bundle for about the same.
Any experiences?

Any of them do the job to be honest, I'd stick with a known brand rather than supermarket own products, purely for reliability.
A Polar FT1 can be had for around £30 and will do the job.

Anything by Polar. I've still got an S725X from pre-Garmin days, and it was a great bit of kit.
