Hey, can I just call out that "call out" has clearly stepped offline in this conversation.

Our transatlantic colleagues use 'reach out' a lot.

Quite like the verb inbox

Wheelhouse lol

As brands build out a world footprint, they look for the no-holds-barred global POV that's always been part of our wheelhouse.

Honestly WTF

Ps OP I inboxed you 😛

They must have been using this site. Apart from Wan Long, of course - that boy's straight to the point. 🙂

What does "wheelhouse" mean, apart from a place on a boat? I realise I'm a bit behind the curve on this one, but could someone reach out and bring me up to speed ??

"reaching around" (talking to a group).

No, that is not what reaching around means. Here, let me demonstrate...

Does this mean that we've finally finished, and reached the end of the god awful and frankly soul destroying "journey" that we've all apparently been on since about 2009???

😉

I think it means caravan, as they are houses on wheels.

Hooray, I get to post this again!

"Firstly, we have signed a transformational outsourcing deal with xxxx which will deliver an increase to our cost synergies from the £112m per annum in 2013, which we will still hit on time, to £143m per annum by 2015. This deal de-risks the embedded value, contractualises the delivery of the cost synergies, and it de-risks the execution of our plans, allowing us to focus on the other opportunities we have as a business."

And it's not even made up

Was on a First Aid Course last week where the (otherwise very down to earth) Fireman Instructor kept asking us to "vocalize" any concerns rather than just "ask a question" it was very much at odds with the rest of his delivery, so stood out all the more.

Yes, we have transitioned our experiences into a state of finality, so ensuring that unicorn is and will remain ringfenced, while the rest of us are well and truly ringpieced.

Inspired by that, I'm promoting an ex-boss to the title of Chief Obfuscating Officer.
