eating (well, just eaten): roasted sweet potato and garlic mash, fried seitan steak with shallots and steamed broccoli.
drinking: water.
listening: nowt, waiting for a jackie chan film to start on telly.

my food was great, but there's just something not right about eating such nice food alone on a saturday night. i'm having trouble seeing the good at the moment (a month on my own now after the gf left after 10 years)...

My dad was on the team that developed quorn. I hate it, I was forced to eat a lot of it as a kid as we got it free. It was far worse before they got the texture right. 😳

Eating (earlier): Veggie noodles
Drinking: Pint of juice
Listening: Ray Mears Wild Food

In half an hour or so, I think I'll have a bacon sarnie, to celebrate ton coming out of the closet and so that we're not overrun by pigs now that he's not eating meat. That'll go very nicely with whisky, I think.

Ton, if you want some vaguely edible veggie recipes let me know. That sounds vile.

My dad was on the team that developed quorn.

Ah, Quorn. A 'food' developed from mould.

DJglover; you have my sincerest sympathies. I woon't say Quorn is actually horrible, but it's sooooo bland and characterless, you'd be just as well eating soggy cardboard, in terms of taste.

Tonight:

A lovely potato bake; Bacon, Aubergine, Courgette, Mushroom and Tomatoes, with Basil and Garlic, , topped with thinly sliced Potatoes with Cheddar, Emmental and Haloumi cheese on top. Served with a simple Tomato, Cucumber and Onion salad.
Carlsberg cooking lager.
Just watched a BBC iPlayer docu on relations between Britain and Iran. Very informative.

Just watched a BBC iPlayer docu on relations between Britain and Iran. Very informative.

Which one was that? Was it part of the Iran and West series which had just finished? I really...well enjoyed is not the word, but found it very good at filling in the blanks you do not really think you have on affairs in that part of the world.

Got linky to iplayer?

It was about Britain's involvement in Iran's recent history, including the oil stuff, and the Shah and that. Don't think it's available an more.

Was very interesting to see just how much involvement this country has had, in that part of the World.

And some of the very things that the West criticises Iran for, it helped to create in the first place...
