There were 10+ cones on it last week, the Council said it was becoming a hazard to pedestrians, so rather than climbing up, they got a cherry picker in to remove them all.
It wont take long before there is one back on it.

I worked round the corner from there for 3 months. Never saw him without a cone!

Would it not make sense just to leave the cone on, given that its actually now part of Glasgow's culture?

Absolutely not. The sanctity of statues is the most pressing issue for the UK right now.
